The PSOE demands in the Assembly support for the conservation of the Mazarrón mines and turn this space into a theme park (15/09/2017)

Murcia, September 15, 2017 .- The deputy of the Socialist Parliamentary Group Alfonso Martínez Baños has claimed in the Plenum of the Regional Assembly the conservation of the mines located in the municipality of Mazarron and that in this space becomes a theme park on mining.

"We want to patrimonialize this area, because it is what 95 percent of the citizens of Mazarrón want," he said.

The other objective of the motion is to request the regional government to banish definitively the idea of returning to mining activity in Mazarrón.

In particular, the Socialist deputy asked the General Directorate of Industry, Energy and Mines to cancel the public tender called for the award of the preferential right on free land occupied by the expired mining rights of 26 mining concessions in the municipality of Mazarron, published in BORM No. 182, on August 8, 2014.

It also asks the Ministry of Culture and Portavocía to proceed with the utmost urgency, and in collaboration with the City of Mazarrón, to instruct the corresponding file to compel the owners of the mining area of San Cristóbal-Los Perules to put the means necessary to avoid the plundering and deterioration of the area that is being declared this Site declared of Cultural Interest, with category of historical site, and guarantee its conservation.

Likewise, it requests the regional government that in case of non-compliance carry out the subsidiary execution.

Martinez Baños explained that the mining cove of San Cristóbal-Los Perules (Mazarrón) is one of the most singular manifestations of the mining metallurgical activity developed in Mazarrón throughout history and has one of the best conserved mining landscapes of all mining district mazarronero.

"In fact, some of these assemblies still maintain characteristic elements such as chimneys, engine rooms, metal or masonry castles, galleries, hoppers, discharge springs, wells, rafts, etc., witnessing the activities and processes that are developed in these mining exploitations. "

The socialist deputy said about the surprise announcement in 2014 of the General Directorate of Mines to seek to resume mining activity in said municipality, without any information to the consistory, that "it is not coherent to tender 26 mining concessions in an area that is has become a hallmark of Mazarrón, both tourist and cultural, and whose wealth does not leave visitors indifferent, apart from the trajectory that has shaped the history of this municipality and its people.

He added that while the General Directorate "intends to resume mining activity in the vicinity of the urban core of the municipality, our mining wealth suffers from plundering and a disreputable deterioration and neglect on the part of its owners."

The owners are, on the one hand, a Basque company denominated "Churruca" that owns the majority of the lands on which erected such constructions;

and on the other hand, a company from Murcia, owner of one of the most significant mines of this complex, the San Antonio mine.

Therefore, it demands support to the regional government so that this millenarian mining wealth is not lost.

This motion was adopted unanimously.

Pollution motion Sierra Minera

For his part, socialist deputy Antonio Guillamón has been the rapporteur of the motion of GP We in which requested the implementation of measures relating to pollution of the population to the Sierra Minera.

The Socialist Parliamentary Group has submitted a partial amendment in which it proposes that actions be promoted in the rambles of the Beal that carry mineral waste that affect the inhabitants of the county and reach the Mar Menor.

"The situation is very complicated from the environmental point of view because the legality of the mining company was violated, but also by the inaction of the regional government."

Antonio Guillamón also denounced that the Constitution has been violated, specifically in Article 45.2, which mandates that the land affected by pollution be recovered and has not been done here.

The PSOE has supported this initiative and has demanded that this environment be recovered as soon as possible.

Autonomous Deductions for deductions

Socialist deputy Ángel Rafael Martínez Lorente has been the speaker of the motion of the Citizens GP on study and deliberation so that the regional deductions for donations to foundations apply only to those who have general interest purposes.

Martinez Lorente indicated that this motion was unnecessary, since these deductions can be made through the IRPF in the state tranche.

"The problem is that at the regional level it can not be deduced any more if it has already been deducted in the tranche at the national level. Therefore, it has no more relevance."

Unification criteria scales temporary disability children with cancer

Finally, MEP Consuelo Cano has defended the partial amendment to the Popular GP motion in which she asks the Government of the Nation to unify valuation criteria to bar the temporary disability of children with cancer and serious diseases.

The Socialist Parliamentary Group has supported this motion.

Cano explained that this initiative has its origin in another one presented by Nueva Canaria.

The socialist deputy sought with her amendment "that this initiative was a reality in our region from Monday, dictating the relevant instructions to the competent bodies not to delay its application in the Region of Murcia, as are waiting for the associations and Federation of parents with children with cancer ".

To that end, it requested that all patients between the ages of 0 and 18 years old be cared for, instead of up to 14 years of age, as the Canary Islands are doing.

It also asks that, until the Government of Spain establishes the criteria requested and carries out the subsequent development and modification of the regulations, the instructions are sent to the responsible body for the most favorable and positive application of the current regulations.

"We intend that with the first diagnosis, minors from the Region of Murcia in this situation obtain a minimum valuation of 33% under the conditions established by the current legislation and inspired by the proposal not of law recently approved in the Congress of Deputies" .

Lastly, he requested that the appropriate instructions be given to apply what was foreseen in RD 1056/2014, of December 12, Additional provision one, on the granting of the provisional parking card, "which states that, for humanitarian reasons , a temporary parking card for motor vehicles shall exceptionally be granted to persons with reduced mobility, even if it has not been officially issued, because of an extremely serious disease or pathology. "

Consuelo Cano lamented that these amendments had not been accepted and this motion remained "in a simple photo to excite, without going into action once again."
