The Bay Surf School, with the collaboration of the Department of Sports of the City of Mazarron, organizes for the weekend of 21 and 22 October the seventh edition of the Surf Championship for lower categories "Surfito".

The competition has been presented this Wednesday at La Reya beach, where there will be an event for which 32 participants have already signed up, according to José María Cascales, president of the organizing school.

For this seventh edition of "Surfito" return the categories sub 18, sub 16, sub 14 and Open.

The competition has been included in the national ranking by the Surf Federation.

Patricio Sánchez, Councilor for Sports, highlighted "the commitment made by the City Council for water sports, as well as the importance of an event that is added to others that are organized throughout the year and help to seasonalise the presence of visitors in the town."

The celebration of the championship could vary from dates in case they do not accompany the weather conditions.
