A total of 98 participants from different autonomous communities will meet in Mazarrón from Friday 20 to Saturday 22 October for the celebration of the VIII Championship of Spain Autonomous Selections Mar Costa Dúos "Capture and Release" in absolute category.
This has been confirmed on Wednesday by Francisco Álvarez, president of the Federation of Fisheries of the Region of Murcia, in the presentation of the event on the beach of Castellar, one of the three beaches that together with those of Bolnuevo and Rihuete will be the scene of the competition .
Alvarez has been accompanied in the presentation by the Councilor for Sports of the City of Mazarron, Patricio Sánchez, who has highlighted the collaboration of the Consistory with this sporting event.
The competition will be divided into three rounds and will be scoring for the World Championship.
Two fishermen from the Club de Puerto de Mazarrón, Juan Acosta and Antonio Nicolás, are part of the team of Murcia selection that in previous years has managed to have representation in the ranks of the national team in the dispute of the world championships.
