The Government delegate in Murcia, Antonio Sánchez-Solís, presided Friday the Local Security Board with the mayor of Mazarrón, Alicia Jimenez.
In the meeting with municipal personnel of the state and local security forces, the plan for the prevention of attacks following the instructions of the Ministry of the Interior has been addressed in connection with the implementation of the measures indicated by the Commission for the Evaluation of Counter-Terrorism.
These measures consist of a greater coordination of Civil Guard and Local Police and in the identification of the most sensitive urban points, as well as the protection of them, either temporarily or continuously.
Antonio Sánchez-Solís also highlighted the reduction of the crime rate by 2.5% in the municipality from January to September and in relation to the same period of the previous year.
This data is related, according to the government delegate, with the increase in arrests by 14%.
Mayor and delegate have highlighted the importance of the effectiveness of the security forces that act in the municipality.
