The Department of Culture and Education of the City of Mazarrón jointly develop a program of visits that brings the activity of Town Halls to Primary and Secondary schools, as well as users of the Day Center for People with Intellectual Disabilities.
It is a project that, coinciding with the 125th anniversary of the building, discloses the heritage value of the facilities among the students.
In addition, each visit is made to coincide with the workshop of some of the artists who exhibit or have recently exhibited in one of the rooms of Casas Consistoriales, such as the illustrators Juan Álvarez and Jorge Gómez or the painter Nono García.
Pedro Martinez and Patricio Sánchez, councilors of Culture and Education of the City of Mazarrón, accompanied this Thursday the students of the IES Felipe II in his visit to the historic Mazarron building.
Both have highlighted the importance of a program that brings local history closer to the young generations of the municipality, while providing them with learning notions related to the art world.
From Friday, November 3 to Wednesday, March 21, approximately 300 children of 4th Primary from 10 schools of the municipality will pass through Town Halls.
After knowing the history of the building they will realize a fun comic workshop taught by the illustrators Juan Álvarez and Jorge Gómez.
Likewise, the students of the four Secondary Education centers began their visit program on October 10 with an additional workshop by the painter Nono García entitled "Aprender a Mira".
The users of the Alzheimer's Unit and people with intellectual disabilities of the Mazarrón Day Center will also visit the historic Mazarron building, as well as a creative expression workshop by María Juliana Raja and painting on glass by Vanesa Castillo.
