After the first hour mass, the Virgen del Milagro left the church of San Andrés de Mazarrón accompanied by the first pilgrims who faced the cold of the morning.

The mayor of Mazarrón, Alicia Jiménez, attended in the temple the first trovos that were directed to the Blessed Mother by the members of the Virgen del Milagro Association.

On their journey through the streets of Mazarrón, more faithful were joining a human river that headed towards the bridge of Las Moreras, where shortly after the first stop took place.

As the pilgrimage progressed, time showed its bonanza, offering images of great beauty in which more and more pilgrims were seen who complied with the tradition of walking with the Virgin at the foot of the mountain range separating Mazarrón from Bolnuevo.

Among cheers, chants and band music the image reached the desalination plant that bears his name where the usual stop was made and a lunch was offered to the pilgrims.

In this place new trophies were sung in honor of the Virgen del Milagro, generating moments of emotion among the faithful.

After this stop, the march resumed more slowly, giving way to relaxation, generating images of groups of friends and families enjoying the day.

The pilgrims lined the entrance to the hamlet from the slope of Playasol 2 seeing the sea and the hermitage of the Virgin in the background.

Petals thrown in the wind gave the opportunity to capture spectacular photographs.

Also, another of the typical images of the pilgrimage: that of the parents showing on their shoulders their children the Virgin of Bolnuevo.

Already in the promenade of the hamlet, new trovos and cheers before the midday mass, then go up to his hermitage and dismiss the Virgen del Milagro until next year.

The festive and convivial atmosphere has been transferred to the beach between moragas and barbecues.

Also at the day fair of the municipal tent with the music of the local DJs.

Municipal police, 112 and Civil Guard have followed a special operation on the occasion of the Pilgrimage, in order to guarantee security to the thousands of citizens who have gathered this Sunday in Bolnuevo.
