A total of 130 participants will meet at the beaches of El Alamillo, Castellar, Bolnuevo and Isla Plana during next Saturday to participate in the XIII National Fishing Open Bay of Mazarrón that has been presented this Thursday by the Councilor for Sports, Patricio Sánchez and the president of the Fishing Club of Puerto de Mazarrón, Juan Antonio Mula.
The test is organized by the Fishing Club of Puerto de Mazarrón in collaboration with the national and regional federations and the City of Mazarrón.
Participants from different autonomous communities will travel to Mazarrón this weekend to participate in this competition.
Patricio Sánchez, Councilor for Sports, stressed the importance of organizing such events in the municipality, as they attract visitors in the months of autumn and winter, with the consequent benefit for the local economy.
The competition will start at 6:00 pm and end at 10:00 pm next to the Fishing Club of Puerto de Mazarrón on El Rihuete beach.
After a barbecue, the trophies will be handed out.
This year, as a novelty, the first classified will be awarded 1,000 euros.
The open will be played in the modality of throwing from coast for absolute individual category.
The classifications will be made according to the weighing of the obtained sizes.
