Protagonism for local musicians and cover of the Book of the Holidays by the couple of plastic artists Muher
The mayor of Mazarrón, Alicia Jiménez and the councilman of Celebrations, Patricio Sanchez, have presented this Tuesday the programming of the Patron Saint Festivities in honor of the Purísima Concepción.
Jiménez has been accompanied by plastic artists Francisca Muñoz and Manuel Herrera (Muher) authors of the cover image of the book of the festivities that will be available next Thursday at the usual distribution points and whose donation will go to the Red Cross this time .
The image is a painting of the popularly known as the source of the New District of Mazarrón, behind the municipal building of Urbanism and is part of a collection of works belonging to the couple of artists, closely linked to Mazarrón throughout his career.
Alicia Jiménez has highlighted the participatory and open nature of parties that follow the line of recent years with the Day Fair and gAstrogAllo on the one hand and with the concerts at the Fairgrounds of Los Rincones on the other.
gAstrogAllo is an important part of the gastronomic offer of some festivities that also include the route of the tapa.
13 stores will offer their best culinary creations in the Cresta del Gallo building from December 6 to 10 between 12:00 and 17:00.
On the other hand, nine stores participate this year in the Ruta de la Cap de Fiestas Patronales between December 1 and 10.
The festivities will begin on Friday, December 1, with the reading of the inaugural speech by the Navarrese Francisco Navarro Campillo, magistrate of the Provincial Court.
The act will take place in the Parish Center of Mazarrón from 9:30 p.m.
On Saturday 2 will take place the Gala of Election of Queen of the Holidays 2017 for those who have submitted their candidacy eight candidates.
It will be in the tent of the Fairground from 9:30 pm, while the children's election will be Sunday, December 3 at 5:30 pm.
On Monday, December 4, it will be the turn for the exhibition of the Antonio Jara Dance Schools, Juan Antonio Iglesias, De Rosa and Terpsichore, at 9:00 pm in the tent of the fairgrounds.
On December 6, following the tradition, the institutional acts of homage to the victims of the concentration camp of Mautahausen will be carried out, followed by the extraordinary plenary session on the occasion of the Constitution Day, a children's event and a tribute to the Spanish flag in the Avenue of the Constitution.
That day will also be celebrated Tomato Day with the distribution of this characteristic product of the municipality by the queen and ladies of the parties.
The Day Fair will open that day as well as gAstrogAllo.
It will be from 2:00 p.m.
Also on the 6th in the afternoon there will be the Flower Offering to the Immaculate with a procession that will depart from the Garden of the Immaculate to the Shrine, from 17:30 hours.
The main liturgical acts will take place on Friday, December 8 with the Holy Mass in honor of the Patroness at 12:00 and the evening procession.
The Day of the Major on Tuesday, December 5, the coexistence of districts on Thursday, December 7 and the parade of floats on Sunday December 10 will be other highlights of the program.
Protagonism for local musicians and Andy and Lucas
Music will be one of the main protagonists, as usual, at the patron saint festivities of Mazarrón.
The Department of Celebrations has given prominence to local artists to act throughout the 10 days of celebration.
So on December 1 there will be room for rock by the hand of a concert organized by AlmazaRock with the performance of Azrael, Alambrada and Anticyclone.
On Saturday, December 2 after the election of the queen of the holidays, the local DJs will continue to animate the atmosphere until dawn.
Tuesday 5 will be the turn to the tribute to Los Mojinos of the local group Nothingham Prisa and Wednesday, December 6 for the Luiso, local artist of the moment.
To this is added the concert of Andy and Lucas at the fairgrounds of Los Rincones on Saturday, December 9.
