Around 600 schoolchildren of the municipality know during this week the history associated with the coin and the ways of coining it over the centuries.
Fourth Primary students from all schools have expanded their knowledge in a didactic way thanks to the activity "The Museum in your school", promoted by the Department of Historical Heritage of the City of Mazarrón.
The mayor, Alicia Jiménez, attended this Thursday at the CEIP Francisco Caparrós de Mazarrón to one of these explanatory talks that also serve to disseminate cultural aspects of the town.
"The Museum in your school" is included within the contents and evaluation criteria of the annual general programming of the centers.
It is an activity through which students know the currency as a source of primary information for the study of history, features that led to its appearance and the differences in each time, as well as parallel events.
Patricio Sánchez, Councilor for Education, and María Martínez, a municipal archaeologist and head of the Museo Factoría Romana de Mazarrón, have also accompanied the schoolchildren in this didactic experience.
