The students of the schools and institutes of the municipality participate from this Monday in the Week of the Prevention of Fire.
Activity organized by the Mapfre Foundation and the Professional Association of Firemen Technicians (APTB) in collaboration with the Municipality of Mazarrón and the Fire Fighting Consortium of the Region of Murcia.
José Ramón Carrasco, general director of Emergencies, visited the students of CEIP Ginés García de Mazarrón on Tuesday.
The 236 children who attend their classrooms have received one of the different talks offered by firefighters from the Region of Murcia in the ten schools of the municipality.
Carrasco has been accompanied by the first deputy mayor, Pedro Martínez and by the councilors of Education and Civil Protection, Patricio Sánchez and Laura Ortiz.
Those responsible for regional and local administration have highlighted the importance of an activity that spreads prevention among the younger generations.
This Monday they began to give these talks about self-protection at school and at home.
It was in the schools Siglo XXI, Bahia, Miguel Delibes and Infanta Leonor.
This Tuesday, January 16, Ginés García, San Antonio and Manuela Romero schools have been taught.
On Wednesday, January 17, the IES Antonio Hellín and Domingo Valdivieso de Mazarrón will be the scene of a simulation of emergency and evacuation.
At 5:30 p.m., the Mazarrón Day Center will host a self-protection talk at home addressed to neighborhood communities and small businesses.
The talks will return to schools on Thursday, January 18.
In this case, they will be taught at the Francisco Caparrós, La Aceña and La Cañadica centers.
A preventive talk will also be offered at the Mazarrón Day Center.
The activity will culminate on Friday, January 19 with a Prevention Party in the Plaza del Ayuntamiento.
