The City of Mazarrón, Cáritas de Mazarrón y Puerto, Nuevo Rumbo, Aspadem and the Pensioners Club have renewed the agreement that allows the Consistory to provide different economic amounts so that these Social Services associations provide their services to users and people in need.
In total, the City invests for this purpose the amount of 30,600 euros.
The mayor of Mazarrón, Alicia Jiménez, thanked the work carried out by the heads and volunteers of the different associations, who make more effective, for their direct treatment, the help that the City Council can provide.
The signing of the various agreements was attended by Laura Ortiz, Councilor for Social Policy, and the parish priests of Mazarrón and Puerto, Antonio José Martínez and Abel Rosa, representing Cáritas.
Likewise, they have also signed the agreement Juan Zamora for Aspadem, Alfonso Santiago for Nuevo Rumbo and Juan Pérez for the Pensioners Club of Mazarrón
Aspadem receives an annual subsidy of 12,000 euros for activities related to the maintenance of the facilities of the therapeutic pool, Nuevo Rumbo, 3,300 euros for the development of activities to help people in need, as well as Cáritas Puerto and Cáritas Mazarrón, who receive each 4,650 euros.
For its part, the Pensioners Club of Mazarrón receives 6,000 euros for the development of cultural, sports and physical maintenance activities for the elderly in the center.
