The parades will be Saturday 10 (children), Sunday 11 (youth) and Sunday 18 (visitors).
There will be three prizes for Dance Schools and three for Schools in the children's parade, five prizes for the local youth clubs and three prizes for the foreign ones
From 9 to 18 February, Mazarrón will enjoy his carnival with the participation of more than 40 clubs and 2,000 comparsistas who will parade through its streets in the three parades included in the program presented this Thursday by the mayor of Mazarrón, Alicia Jiménez and the councilor of Celebrations, Patricio Sanchez, in the company of the outgoing children and youth muses, Marina Lardín and Ana Cristina Hernández.
During the ceremony the poster designed for this edition was shown.
The mayor, Alicia Jiménez and the councilman of Festejos, Patricio Sánchez, have encouraged the Mazarron to go out to the street these days and enjoy the Carnival.
They have also called the first of the dates of this party to be held this Saturday, February 3 in the Costa de Mazarron Salons where the traditional dinner of coexistence between the rocks will be held, night that will serve to carnival and carnaval Mazarrón start to warm up engines.
Alicia Jiménez highlighted "the work carried out by the carnival clubs, as well as the involvement of families to offer as a result a carnival that is growing year after year, without envying the other locations in the Region."
For the third consecutive year the Carnival party will have its continuation in the tent installed on the Avenida de la Constitución, a meeting point after the parades, where on Saturday, February 17, a fun costume party will be held, entertained by the local DJs.
The Musa election gala will be held on Friday, February 9 at the Municipal Pavilion of La Aceña, starting at 9:30 p.m.
In juveniles the chosen muse, by joint decision of the clubs for 2018, is Nuria Zamora López from the Salsalá troupe.

Four candidates have been nominated for the election of children: Irene Medrano from El Tolín, Sara Murillo from De Rosa, Isabel Muñoz from El Salitre and Jorge Martín from El Tolín.
On Saturday, February 10 will be the parade of children's clubs, from 5:00 pm, with the participation of 15 comparsas: De Rosa Dance School, Ana Ruiz Dance Fitness, Antonio Jara Dance School, El Tolín, Nursery Fairies and Elves, Nursery Seeds, MAI of Mazarrón, AMPA Francisco Caparrrós School, XXI Century School, AMPA La Molineta of Manuela Romero School, Infanta Leonor School, AMPA La Cañadica, Bahia College, La Aceña School and Ginés García School.
On Sunday, February 11, at 5:00 p.m., it will be the turn for the local clubs with the participation of 17 troupes: Los Salaitos, Dance Studio Teprsícore, Comparsa Salsalá, Comparsa Mármara, De Rosa, Amazon River, Caño del Molino, La Cañadica, El Salitre, Titanes and Bahía Sur, Los Guiris los Amigos, Percheles Beach, Ambarela, Ana Ruiz Dance and Fitness, El Tolín, Peña La Atalaya and Las Gregorias.
The parade of the visitors clubs is held again this year on Sunday, will be on February 18, also from 17:00 hours.
So far have confirmed their presence a dozen clubs, whose list will be released in the coming days.
That day will also parade the winning clubs in the youth parade on the 11th, as well as the best school and the best dance school of the children's parade.
After each one of the parades, the Carpa de Día will take place the awards ceremony, after the corresponding evaluation of the jury.
It will be approximately 45 minutes after the completion of each parade.
The amount of the prizes amounts to a total of 8,150 euros.
There will be three prizes for dance schools and another three for schools in the children's parade.
The local clubs will distribute 4,500 euros in prizes, with the first five prizes awarded.
The three best comparsas visitors will also be awarded, sharing among them the amount of 600 euros.
