The City of Mazarrón will pay tribute to teachers and retirees who taught in schools in the municipality over past decades.
The event will take place coinciding with the conference that the teacher, nominated to the Global Teacher Prize, will give at the Miguel Delibes school in Puerto de Mazarrón next Friday, February 16, starting at 5:00 p.m.
The event was presented by the mayor of Mazarrón, Alicia Jiménez and by the Councilor for Education, Patricio Sánchez, along with the heads of the CEIP La Cañadica and Francisco Caparrós.
The mayor highlighted the importance of an endearing act that aims to thank a lifetime dedicated to teaching.
Patricio Sanchez, Councilor for Education, recalled that invitations to attend the event can be collected in the Department of Education.
César Bona, a 47-year-old teacher from Zaragoza, was nominated for what is considered to be the Nobel Prize for teaching (Global Teacher Prize), for teaching a teaching method based on empathy, positive influence on students and motivation. to increase the capacity to listen, to reflect and to think critically.
After the conference of César Bona, approximately an hour and a half later, the homage will be held to the retired teachers of Mazarrón or linked to the municipality for their years of exercise.
