Some of the assaulted pedestrians were forced, at the point of a knife, to enter a vehicle
A mobile phone has been recovered and the vehicle used in its criminal actions seized
The Civil Guard of the Region of Murcia has developed, in Mazarrón, the operation 'TANOEL' that has culminated with the dismantling of a violent criminal group dedicated to the assault on pedestrians, some of which was forced, at the point of a knife, to be introduced in a vehicle.
Three male persons, aged 19, 21 and 34, of Moroccan nationality and residents of Morata-Lorca have been arrested as alleged perpetrators of the crimes of robbery with violence and intimidation.
The investigation began at the beginning of the month, when the Civil Guard became aware of a robbery with violence committed on a neighbor of Mazarrón while walking on public roads.
The victim was approached from a vehicle by two young men who, after asking him for an address and when approached the vehicle, they held him to remove his belongings, so he struggled with them while trying to board him with violence.
The victim could escape without first having been the object of the theft of their belongings.
Two rounds the same day
In less than a week, the Civil Guard received two other complaints for similar events, which occurred in the same municipality.
In one of the cases, the victim, a minor, tried to be introduced in a vehicle by two individuals, although he managed to sneak out and flee before the robbery materialized.
Hours later, in another way of the municipality, another citizen was assaulted by the occupants of a tourist, in this case three people, one of whom threatened him with a knife in the neck and forced him to get on the vehicle.
A few meters from the place where he was held and once they had 'made' their belongings, they let him go.
The researches carried out by the investigators focused on the location of the vehicle, a red tourism that, in addition, the day in which the robberies were committed had disappeared from the scene of a traffic accident, caused by its driver in Mazarrón.
The Civil Guard obtained from the victims the story of the events in which both the vehicle used and the description of the subjects coincided, for which it established numerous police devices aimed at the prevention of citizen security, diminished by the presence of this group criminal that had generated certain insecurity in the municipality.
The inquiries led the Benemérita to the hamlet of Morata lorquina where, supposedly, resided one of the suspects, so they established the appropriate monitoring devices, suspecting that the house was used as a meeting point for the band.
These inspections have been positive with the location and detention of three Moroccan people, aged 19, 21 and 34, one of whom, in addition, had an expulsion order from the national territory in force.
Operation 'TANOEL' has culminated in the dismantling of a violent criminal group, whose three members have been arrested as alleged perpetrators of three crimes of robbery with violence and intimidation, committed in the municipality of Mazarrón.
