The City of Mazarrón has recognized young people who participated during 2017 in the Volunteer Program organized by the Youth Council.
Throughout the year, a dozen volunteers volunteered their work in different events of the municipal agenda.
Alicia Jiménez, Mayor of Mazarrón, gave this Tuesday of the diploma accrediting this activity to a representation of this group of young people led by Pablo Reyes, Francisco Javier Paños and Santiago Figueroa, the latter being the volunteer who has been recognized with the special prize to the greatest number of actions.
This volunteering program offers its participants training advantages and discounts in shops in the municipality, in the form of gift vouchers.
The program is aimed at young people aged 14 to 35 who are insured by the City Council during the exercise of their activity.
The Councilor for Youth, Patricio Sánchez, and the mayor, Alicia Jiménez, thanked the volunteer work carried out by the youth, who showed their satisfaction with the experience.
