The Virgen de la Soledad stars in the Holy Week of Mazarrón in 2018. This Thursday, the poster whose image is the work of local photographer Pascual Méndez was presented in Casas Consistoriales.
During the ceremony, the name of the town crier was announced.
It will be Francisco José Fernández, parish priest of Mazarrón until last year, who on March 17 will read the text that officially opens the Holy Week Mazarrón.
During the presentation this Thursday, Carmen Orenes, president of the Brotherhood of the Virgen de la Soledad revealed some details of the program whose content will be officially presented this Saturday, February 17 at the Sanctuary of La Purisima at 8:00 p.m.
The organizing brotherhood will premiere a new throne on Holy Friday, according to its president, there will also be a Lenten march to benefit the Spanish Association Against Cancer (AECC) scheduled for March 18 and will be held a torrijas contest on March 24th.
The presentation was attended by the Councilor for Culture of the City of Mazarrón, Pedro Martinez, the president of the Town Council of Mazarron, Lali AgĂźera and Juan Francisco Belmar, responsible for the organization of cultural events related to Holy Week Mazarrón.
