From November to March of 2018, a program of prevention and awareness against gender violence in Secondary Schools has been carried out from the Specialized Care Center for Women Victims of Gender Violence (CAVI). of the Municipality of Mazarrón.
The initiative has been developed in collaboration with the guidance departments.
Specifically, it has worked with groups of 3 ° ESO, PMAR and Basic Vocational Training courses.
The objectives of this program have been to eliminate myths and misconceptions underlying gender violence, to enable students to detect and recognize physical, psychological and sexual abuse and to identify warning signs in toxic relationships that can affect both children as girls
Likewise, the students have been informed of the specific resources to ask for help in case of need (operation of the CAVIS, 112, 016, prevention and intervention service in affective relationships with adolescent girls, psychological service to minor children of age of female victims).
From the office of the municipal CAVI works in coordination with the guidance departments, with the aim of intervening, if any, with underage girls who have experienced abuse in their relationships, always with the consent and prior authorization of the parents.
The CAVI is a service designed to provide comprehensive assistance to the victim woman, without the requirement of filing a complaint.
