The Civil Guard of the Region of Murcia has developed the operation 'FUGA2', an investigation that has culminated with the arrest, in Mazarrón, of an experienced offender on which weighed two search warrants, arrest and entry into prison issued by a court de Mula (Murcia) and by the Provincial Court of Alicante.
The arrested, caught in a police check while driving without a license, is also attributed the alleged responsibility of crime against road safety.
The investigation was initiated when citizen security officers of the Civil Guard of Lorca were practicing a police control on the highway RM D-4 pk2, municipality of Mazarrón, in which, among others, they identified a driver of foreign nationality, who could not prove possession of the driver's license.
He tried to confuse the agents posing as a compatriot
In view of the absence of personal documentation to prove his identity, the driver verbally provided that of a compatriot with physical characteristics similar to his own, with the supposed intention of dissuading the agents and resuming the march.
Faced with the doubt generated and lacking any other effective means to achieve full identification, the civil guards transferred the suspect to police units where specialists in Judicial Police identified the driver.
These efforts allowed to find out that he was an experienced criminal, with a bulky criminal record for crimes of robbery with force and violence, on which, in addition, weighed two search warrants and arrest, one of which ordered his entry into prison.
The Civil Guard verified that these requisitorias, indicated last year by a court of Mula (Murcia) and by the Provincial Court of Alicante, remained active, as well as that its validity lasted until the years 2021 and 2041, respectively.
Operation 'FUGA2' has culminated in the arrest of a 36-year-old male, of Algerian nationality, with a large criminal record as an alleged perpetrator of a crime against road safety.
The arrested on which weighed two court orders of search and detention in force, one of which ordered his entry into prison and the proceedings have been made available to the Court of Instruction of Totana (Murcia), which has ordered his entry into prison.
