The spokesman of the Socialist Parliamentary Group Joaquín López Pagán, together with the deputy speaker Alfonso Martínez Baños and the general secretary of the PSOE of Mazarrón Gaspar Miras visited the urbanization of Camposol, in Mazarrón, where they met with the president of the Association of Neighbors, Silvana Buxton, with whom they have addressed the need to put a solution in the shortest time possible to the serious problems that these 5,000 neighbors have had for 15 years.
Joaquín López Pagán valued the work carried out by the Socialist Parliamentary Group in the Assembly to ensure the interests of these neighbors, mostly British, and to remedy the injustice committed with them, "by the negligent act of three administrations, a symbol of apathy and a situation that deeply embarrasses us ".
López Pagán stressed that the Conference was closed with conclusions that were approved in the plenary session held on March 22.
From there, it is now expected that all the measures contemplated in the final opinion will be implemented.
"From the PSOE we are visiting the urbanization as a sign that we are vigilant and vigilant to meet the agreements approved in the House, so that they soon become facts, not just in words, and these neighbors have quality of life "
The socialist spokesman claimed that what happened in Camposol is not repeated and criticized the neglect of the three administrations, which in the case of the Community adds 23 years of Popular Party governments.
"We will demand that the State, the Community and the City Council act and comply with the demands established by the Paper so that in Camposol there is a before and after and that the neighbors of this urbanization see that there is a future and that their problems have a solution".
On the other hand, the general secretary of the PSOE of Mazarrón, Gaspar Miras, also reminded that it is time for the City Council to begin taking prompt measures to alleviate the situation of these neighbors.
"We are going to propose together with the Neighborhood Association to create a worktable at the local level to see each case and marking a reasonable period for all the corporations - the one that is and the ones that come - to maintain a firm commitment with these neighbors" .
The president of the Association of Neighbors Silvana Buxton thanked the work done from the Regional Assembly and the PSOE of Mazarrón and expressed hope that it will mark the beginning of a new stage for the neighbors.
"We want those responsible for this disaster to be aware of what they have done and begin to act to remedy it," he concluded.
