The headquarters of the Popular University hosts until May 6 the first of the 56 exhibitions scheduled in 2018 within this project to promote Murcia's talent
The second edition of the Exhibition Space Plan launched by the regional government begins its journey in Mazarrón with the exhibition of Eva Poyato 'Imaginario'.
The exhibition opens tomorrow, April 13 (7:30 pm), in the exhibition hall of the Popular University of Mazarrón and will remain open until May 6.
'Imaginario' is made up of works of different technique and format (painting and sculpture) where the creator overturns scenes from a magical, fabled world, in which there are plenty of princes and princesses, animals and nature, the sea, the flowers and clouds, and where Poyato catches up dreams.
The general director of the Institute of Cultural Industries and Arts, Marta López-Briones, explained that "this is the first of the 56 exhibitions of artists from the Region of Murcia that can be seen in the municipal rooms during this year thanks to the Exhibition Spaces Plan, a project that, after its successful first edition, has been set up again from Culture with the aim of promoting the work of our creators and complementing the cultural programming of the municipalities so that all citizens can enjoy of a quality offer ".
"This year were almost 50 percent more projects submitted by artists and also the number of councils adhered increased from 22 to 30, an increase that indicates that we are on the right track to contribute to growth and strengthening of the culture in the Region ", added the head of the ICA.
Eva Poyato combines teaching (she teaches graphic arts courses and workshops for children) with her work as an artist.
She has a degree in Fine Arts and a Master's Degree in Graphic Work, and has done several courses and workshops with engravers such as David de Almeida, Carolina Isgar and Julio León, Paco Aguilar and Monir.
She has been granted a scholarship, among other institutions or organizations, by the Feria Estampa in 2005 with a stay at Casa Flaconieri (Sardinia, Italy) and has carried out artistic residencies in other countries such as Germany.
His work has been awarded in different national competitions and his exhibitions have been seen in spaces of different communities (highlighting the Estampa de Madrid Fair and the Museum Foundation of Contemporary Spanish Engraving, in the XII National Engraving Awards) and also in cities of Italy, Germany, the United States and China.
