The exhibition hall of the Popular University of Mazarrón, located on Avenida de la Constitución, hosts until May 6 the exhibition titled "Imaginario" by Eva Poyato.
The exhibition was inaugurated last Friday by the artist herself along with the general director of Cultural Industries and the Arts, Marta López-Briones, the Councilor for Culture, Pedro Martínez and the director of the Popular University, José María López.
'Imaginario' is made up of works of different technique and format (painting and sculpture) where the creator overturns scenes from a magical, fabled world, in which there are plenty of princes and princesses, animals and nature, the sea, the flowers and clouds, and where Poyato catches up dreams.
The sample arrives at Mazarrón fruit of an agreement of the Popular University and the City council of Mazarrón with the Autonomous Community.
The councilman of Culture, Pedro Martinez, values the agreement already started in 2017, "since it allows to expand the cultural offer in the municipality, giving space to the work of quality artists such as, on this occasion, Eva Poyato"
Eva Poyato combines teaching (she teaches graphic arts courses and workshops for children) with her work as an artist.
She has a degree in Fine Arts and a Master's Degree in Graphic Work, and has done several courses and workshops with engravers such as David de Almeida, Carolina Isgar and Julio León, Paco Aguilar and Monir.
She has been granted a scholarship, among other institutions or organizations, by the Feria Estampa in 2005 with a stay at Casa Flaconieri (Sardinia, Italy) and has carried out artistic residencies in other countries such as Germany.
His work has been awarded in different national competitions and his exhibitions have been seen in spaces of different communities (highlighting the Feria Estampa de Madrid and the Contemporary Spanish Engraving Museum Foundation, in the XII National Engraving Awards) and also in cities of Italy, Germany, the United States and China.
This exhibition can be seen in Mazarrón until May 6 from Monday to Friday from 8:00 pm to 10:00 pm.
