The 'Short Story Competition XXVI Villa de Mazarrón - Antonio del Olmo Mowing', organized by the Council of Mazarron and the Universidad Popular de Mazarrón, is now in the final stages of editing for this year.
The development of this event, which started back in October, will conclude on July 30 with the awards ceremony, which was added this year and several activities which will, among others, attended Vicente Molina Foix writer, who will deliver a lecture on 29th July, which is entitled "The art of storytelling."
Previously, on 23 July at 22.00 am in the Hotel Playa Grande, is hosting a concert Oche Cortes, whose business has the invaluable support of the Caja de Ahorros del Mediterráneo (CAM).
The jury, which this year received 1,256 papers presented, has chosen the twelve finalists: 'Eight crimson letters' of Noomi Rapace, 'Barbarians' of Miss Kenton, "Jacqueline and fire 'in Westergaard,' the key.
An oriental tale 'of Vailima,' The Rose of the times 'of Iluso Icarus' Grandpa and Manuel 'of Peter Bear,' gray palette 'of Tusitala Perez,' The gold of the crazy 'to Atahorma,' Vasegoda 'Boris Reluz' eternal peace "Arcano, 'Descent into memory' and 'Rosita' de Fernán Caballero.
In this edition of "Villa de Mazarrón is remarkable the high quality of the papers, being mainly from Spain and Spanish-speaking countries and from as far away as Australia, Thailand or the Middle East.
Short Story Competition "Villa de Mazarrón - Antonio del Olmo Mowing" is an event that, at present, not only is fully consolidated and integrated within and outside the cultural landscape of the municipality, but also offers a long history in which there have been several publications and has been attended by the literary world in all its facets.
The 'Short Story Competition XXVI Villa de Mazarrón - Antonio del Olmo Mowing' is equipped with a first prize of 3,600 euros and a plaque and a second prize of 2,400 euros and a plaque.
