A 80 year old man died this afternoon when he lost consciousness for unknown reasons, while bathing in the beach of Puerto de Mazarrón Rihuete.

The 1-1-2 received at 17.21 hours, call witnesses who said they took out of the water some swimmers an elderly man unconscious.

Effective immediately went to the place of Red Cross, which began practicing the victim cardiopulmonary resuscitation, and a Mobile Emergency Health Service of Murcia.

Despite the efforts of emergency medical services, the man died.
