The body of the Guardia Civil de Mazarrón held on Tuesday the big day in honor of its patron, the Virgen del Pilar.
The event was attended by all members of the Guardia Civil for the municipality of Mazarrón, along with members of the government team and the rest of the Municipal Corporation and the Local Police Sergeant in Mazarrón, Gerardo Marin.
The day of celebration, in which the Civil Guards were accompanied by family and friends, took place in the Church of San José de Puerto de Mazarrón.
Civil Guard, known popularly as the "Meritorious" is the first public security force created in Spain and is part of the Security Forces of the State, whose mission is to protect the free exercise of the rights and freedoms of Spanish, as well as ensure the safety of all citizens.
