The municipality of Mazarrón is undergoing a major transformation in the cultural field concerns, as evidenced by the current draft environmental conservation and restoration of the Castle of Los Velez whose first step has been the fencing around the perimeter.
This is a perimeter fence of the tower wall elevation and installation of metal roof tile at an average height of 2.5 meters.
This project also hosts the installation of doors, one of them just in the back of the City of Mazarrón and foresight in the restoration of the Castle, another entrance, the Main Auditorium and another in the service entrance of the Esplanade Auditorium .
The works also include the refurbishment of the access ramp to the auditorium 'Marquesa de Los Vélez. "
These works, entirely financed by the Consorcio Turístico de Mazarrón and valued at 105,610 euros, will continue the comprehensive rehabilitation of the Castle of Los Velez and the restoration of the Auditorium Marquesa de Los Vélez.
This action, which will contribute to the preservation of natural heritage, archaeological and cultural, will give the area safer for citizens and repair the collapse that occurred in the Auditorium.
The project is being implemented by the construction company Mazarron 'Antonio and Squares SL' and is scheduled to end in the month of December.
