This weekend the town of Mazarrón has wrapped the sixteenth edition of the "Clean Sea Fund", organized by the Dive Center ZOEA de Mazarrón.
This year's edition has gathered more than fifty divers from different parts of the Spanish, especially since Madrid and Murcia.
As a curious note is worth noting that in the 'Seabed Cleaning' has involved a family coming from Poland who is faithful to the appointment.
The divers have collected about four kilos of organic waste, an amount less than the previous year, which highlights the importance of continuing these efforts.
Interestingly, in this year, divers have found three shopping carts and a bathtub.
Note that the 'Clean Seabed' de Mazarrón is the oldest in Spain, for 16 years the town has been developing this activity and consolidated throughout the national scene.
After cleaning, the participants conducted an in a day of coexistence that has started with a barbecue at the Club de Petanque and subsequent dinner at the Hotel La Cumbre.
The purpose of this annual program is to preserve, as an individual, the natural heritage of the municipality of Mazarrón and, in general, preserve the environment.
The 'Clean Seabed' has also enjoyed the cooperation of the City of Mazarrón and the Cressi diving company, Hotel La Cumbre and Mazarron Bowls Club.
