This morning the mayor of Mazarrón, Francisco Blaya, next to the Senior Deputy Director General, Josefa Birlanga, and the Councillor for Social Policy, Yolanda Vivancos, inaugurated the exhibition 'Autonomous Regions of Spain', part of the 'eighteenth anniversary of the Centre Senior Social Puerto de Mazarrón. "
The ceremony was also attended by the Director of the Center for Puerto de Mazarrón Day, Alfonso Cifuentes, and the Director of the Day Centre de Mazarrón, Salvador Sanchez and Councillor for Culture, Alicia Jiménez.
The major wanted to start the program of events to the premiere of his exhibition, for which they have prepared an exclusive tasting of typical products from the different autonomous regions of Spain.
Attendees were able to taste cakes Ceuta and Melilla, Cantabrian anchovies, chorizo de La Rioja, Castilla La Mancha cheese, cheese and red wine from Castilla y León, Extremadura acorn ham, asparagus from Navarra, Basque vasquitos, horchata de Valencia, Madrid Street, michirones of Murcia, Aragón fruit, olive oil from Andalusia, sobrasadas Balearic Islands, Canary Islands bananas, cheese and sausage Asturias Catalonia.
The work of the users of the Day Centre of Puerto de Mazarron has been expressed in a vivid exhibition of traditional costumes of each autonomy as well as with pictures, flags, books, postcards and photographs.
The largest of the Day Centre of Puerto de Mazarrón have chosen this theme to reflect the peculiarities, traditions and customs of different parts of the country.
This exhibition, open to everyone, will be open until Sunday, November 14, from 10.30 to 13.00 and from 17.00 to 19.00.
The drama of "The eternal fight ', by the Center Theater Group of Puerto de Mazarrón Day, the action of the Coral and the Rondalla, the screening of the film' Alice in Wonderland ', and as awards of 'III Short Story Contest Intergenerational and Drawing' are some of the activities enjoyed by the elderly.
Francisco Blaya congratulated everyone over to commemorate the 18 year history of the Day Centre of Puerto de Mazarrón, who encouraged them to continue enjoying the social and cultural space in which to all form a big family.
The programming of the 'eighteenth anniversary of the Senior Community Center of Puerto de Mazarrón' is organized by the Participation Council of Senior Social Center of Puerto de Mazarrón in collaboration with the City of Mazarron, through the Department of Social Policy and CajaMurcia.
