The mayor of Mazarrón, Francisco Blaya, accompanied by Council of Culture, Alicia Jiménez, Care of Foreign Residents, Jacqueline Gálvez, and Services Ardil Salvador, attended Mass Campaign in memory of the fallen in all wars.
The event, which brought together people of different nationalities, has taken place in Camposol, specifically in the Garden of Memory.
For the second consecutive year, foreign residents of the municipality of Mazarrón has been added to this celebration that takes place in November.
Taking advantage of this celebration, the Hall has seen fit to donate plants for the Garden of Memory.
One of the most striking detail is that the majority of attendees wore a poppy in his lapel.
This plugin is used traditionally for Armistice Day, when it is recalled that the soldiers killed during the First and Second World War and subsequent conflicts like the war in the Falkland Islands and the Gulf War.
The red poppies represent the flowers that grew in the cornfields of Flanders in the First World War, where thousands of soldiers lost their lives.
Paper poppies that are used today are made by veterans and are sold by representatives of the Royal British Legion, an organization of veterans and war veterans.
