This morning the mayor of Mazarrón, Francisco Blaya, and the Director General of Department of the Autonomous Region of Murcia, María José Jiménez, have visited the site of the new center and Primary Education for Puerto de Mazarrón.
The ceremony also attended the Councillor for Education, Concepción Ballesta, Councillor for Infrastructure and Planning, Jose Antonio Roman, the Councillor for Culture, Alicia Jiménez, and Councillor for Social Policy, Yolanda Vivancos.
This project, which will benefit the students of Puerto de Mazarrón, will be released in the first half of next year.
In May the authorities placed the first stone of the works, and only six months are well advanced.
The center will consist of three modules: one of six classrooms and multipurpose rooms for kindergarten, another three-storey pavilion with twelve rooms and four rooms for support for primary education and one for auxiliary facilities such as gymnasium, dining room and library.
The ninth center of Early Childhood and Primary Education Mazarron is placed at the forefront of the whole region of Murcia, modern infrastructure offering double line of similar characteristics to CEIP Infanta Leonor.
Francisco Blaya, who has expressed his delight at the rapid progress of the work, stated that this project will be available in early 2011, thereby ensuring quality education for all schoolchildren in the municipality.
This new educational infrastructure will clear the classroom and improve the relationship between all members of the educational community.
This project represents an investment of 3,977,911.60 euros, financed by the Ministry of Education, Training and Employment of the Autonomous Region of Murcia.
Mazarron progression in education
In recent years the town of Mazarrón has undergone a major evolution in education culminated watching and implemented CEIP IES Infanta Leonor and Felipe II, which provides the public a greater quality in education.
