The Government of Spain invests in Mazarrón 9.5 million through State Funds, 2009 and 2010
The government delegate in Murcia, Rafael González Tovar, and the mayor of Mazarrón, Francisco Blaya Blaya, inaugurated this afternoon the new facilities at Polideportivo Municipal de Mazarrón, starting today that takes the name "Jesus Canovas Valenzuela."
The works, which have been financed entirely by the Government of Spain through the State Fund of 2010, involves an investment of 410,000 euros and have created 5 jobs.
The works have involved the placement of a new strong synthetic running track.
It has also been completely revamped the drainage system of the track building a new concrete curb and gutter to collect water around the perimeter.
Tovar Gonzalez stressed that these funds, the municipality of Mazarrón invests 3.5 million euros in improving sports facilities.
Among the action, the representative highlighted the two new artificial football pitches and new fencing at the Sports Complex Media League (1.9 million), improving the facilities of the Sports of Puerto de Mazarrón (700,000 euros ), new sports facilities of the College Ginés García Martínez (400,000 euros) or the adequacy of the sports in the Cañada de Gallego (155,000 euros).
The Government delegate pointed out that thanks to state funds in 2009 and 2010, included in Plan E, Mazarrón has received 9.5 million euros, which the council has distributed in the execution of 19 projects of work.
It has also indicated that "Mazarrón receives from the Government of Spain's largest investment in this area for any government in just two years and makes clear the municipality of President Zapatero will."
