This morning the mayor of Mazarrón, Francisco Blaya, has visited the site of the Centro Cultural de Mazarrón with the council of Culture and Infrastructure, Alicia Jiménez and José Antonio Román.
This new space for culture, leisure and entertainment of all Mazarron, is determined to meet all the cultural needs of all citizens.
Its location on the Burial of the Sardine Street s / n, with schools, colleges and sports facilities in the municipality of Mazarrón is another major attraction of this functional, modern, new, spacious, bright and well connected.
It is a multipurpose cultural center that will house various areas such as Municipal Public Library, Auditorium, Exhibition Hall and several function rooms.
This property is multidisciplinary attempt to adapt the demands of citizens in a single space, optimizing existing resources given the current economic situation.
Increase the number of cultural and information services for citizens are other objectives pursued by this eminently cultural space where children, youth and adults can be found.
The existing structure of the building was built since 1997, this project was resumed in 2003 by the new government team which has been working on it since the beginning of his career, performing different procedures as the previous contract termination and renewal of project to fit the new social reality.
Today the works are progressing well, something very positive for all Mazarron, who with this new building will be increased cultural activities in a short time.
Outline which is the largest cultural investment achieved by the city council fully funded by the Autonomous Community of Murcia.
Management carried out directly by the town in order to give the town a cultural benchmark.
The Consistory of Mazarrón is immersed in this project, amounting to 3,600,000 euros.
