Coinciding with the opening day of the International Tourism Fair 2011, the mayor of Mazarrón, Francisco Blaya, and the Councillor of Tourism, Alicia Jiménez, have traveled to Madrid to participate in the biggest international tourism event.
Within this framework, Francisco Blaya and Alicia Jimenez presented the findings of the feasibility study and appreciation of Phoenician ships.
The main objective of this action is to determine a start value and tourist use of the wreck that is compatible with the preservation "in situ" the same as directed by the UNESCO Declaration on Underwater Heritage.
The basic premise is the preservation of the ship, so the different possibilities arise in the face of its value from the standpoint of cultural, historical and tourist wreck considering its viability archaeological level, technical, economic and environmental .
Throughout the whole morning, Blaya and Jimenez have been accompanied by the President of the Autonomous Community of Murcia, Ramón Luis Valcárcel, and the Director General of Tourism, Marina Garcia, and other personalities from the world of politics, culture and tourism in the national scene.
This year the stand of the Region of Murcia staged a TV studio from which are taking place several interviews and presentations of regional tourism products.
It is used to approximate the language television Murcia to all audiences, both professions in the tourism sector to future visitors.
This afternoon the Director of Hotel Sensol de Mazarrón, Juan Palau, will also unveil 'Tomaterapia', an original and innovative proposal for health.
This pioneering program, conducted by different treatments, uses the multiple therapeutic properties of tomato.
