Friday 28 January at 20.00, cultural and exhibition space 'town hall' opens a new challenge, this time it's the picture collection 'Transitions' by Allan Madsen.
With 'Transitions', a historical Allan for all his work, showing his great talent for drawing, and their skill in rescuing the beauty of classical paintings and at the same time, enjoy the fantastic compositions and textures of latest works coming to abstraction.
At one point he was known for his still lifes, as abstract as naturalists, with its strong funds textures and patterns.
Currently, the artist has developed a personal style with big naked simple and anatomical drawings.
Although his work has changed and evolved over time, retains its fascination for the simple act of painting, by the detail he gives to the big funds that have led to a very intimate style naked both in oil and in watercolor .
Drawing has always been a crucial part of their work and their creations can see a painting from different levels where the realism of the subject combined with an atmosphere of peace and solitude, full of objects with different shapes, circles invariably calm and transmitting harmony.
The Department of Culture Department invites all citizens to learn about this new collection of paintings to be displayed in 'town hall' until 26 March.
Brief overview of life and art of Allan Madsen
Allan Madsen was born in Randers, Denmark in 1952.
After 5 years he moved to Canada with his family.
Between 1971 and 1981 he studied and taught music in London, specializing in Renaissance music for lute.
At this time began to study drawing.
In 1981 he moved to Paris, dedicated to the Fine Arts.
For the next seven years, despite living in France, developed a constant work in Italy and Spain.
In 1988 he moved to Sweden and held several exhibitions of his work.
Now an internationally acclaimed artist in Europe and North America.
He currently resides with his wife and three children in Eagle.
