This morning, the Councillor for Education, Concepción Ballesta, and the director of the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health of the Ministry of Education, Training and Employment, Tomas Perez, presented the program "Security Grows in Murcia Region."
This campaign is aimed at all students pursuing their studies in five grades of primary education in the schools of the municipality of Mazarrón.
With this program, students will learn the benefits of preventive measures for both the present and the future, aware of the dangers of daily routines.
Among the most common risks of children's collective, it is worth noting burns, workload, toxic products, lifting loads and the sitting position, as well as cuts, wounds, scrapes, choking, obstruction of breathing, falls, shock and impact.
The development of this campaign will involve professionals of prevention, which will travel to schools in Mazarrón throughout the school year 2010-2011.
Small will enter in this primary education, educational and leisure in occupational hazards through cartoons and interactive games.
To find out what they have learned, will participate in a competition endowed with ten prizes (digital cameras, MP4 and lots of books).
Drawings shall be executed in DIN-A4 size using any pictorial technique, with the theme of the event "Grow Security."
Each student may submit only one work.
In the face of the work shall specify the name, age and school to which the pupil.
The deadline for submission of papers, which will be collected in schools, will end on 28 February.
The aim is to set prevention as a value and create a habit of life, hence the interest in that learning begins at an early age to facilitate entry into the workforce.
This educational activity organized by the Autonomous Community of Murcia, through the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health, in collaboration with the municipality of Mazarrón and Ucomur.
