Also been reported that the Department of Sustainability of the Coast and the Sea has taken out conservation and maintenance works along the coast of Mazarrón with a budget of 440,000 euros.
The general director of Sustainability and the Sea Coast, Pedro Antonio Ríos, the government delegate in Murcia, Rafael González Tovar, chief of the Coastal Authority in Murcia, Francisca Baraza, with the mayor of Mazarrón, Francisco Blaya, have presented the start of construction of the promenade of Bolnuevo in Mazarrón (Phase I), financed by the Ministry of Environment, Rural and Marine Affairs in the amount of over 1.2 million euros.
To retrieve a space used as a makeshift parking reserve their use for pedestrians, the Department of Sustainability of the Coast and the Sea has promoted the works of Bolnuevo promenade.
The works involve the construction of a boardwalk spanning a length of coastline of about 1,600 meters, preferably flowing traffic easements and protection.
The whole trip will be defined and prepared for pedestrians, including utilities (lighting, drinking water, irrigation system, etc.) As well as the renovation of the landscaping and the installation of street furniture for use and enjoyment of visitors .
This project involves the placement of 81 points of light along the promenade to provide good visibility in the area, as well as different furniture placement, as 50 banks, 44 bins, 3-bike park, about 400 ml of footbridges wooden beach access adapted for the transit of persons with reduced mobility Signage 9 units signaling, among others.
Another feature is that for this future project will cover 9,000 m2 of paving, and the observation deck will be fitted with wooden projected piloted and will occupy about 500 m2.
As for other infrastructure, this project includes the installation of network supply seawater to provide footbaths and 8 to 14 shower units and provides the facility for drainage and sanitation and drinking water facilities and irrigation systems automation.
Moreover, the Director General has stated that at present with this project which began in the amount of 1,220,000 euros, have contractors and maintenance works along the coast of Mazarrón with a budget of 440.

These actions are part of the policy of the Ministry of Environment and Rural and Marine Affairs, to recover the Spanish coast, in collaboration with the autonomous regions and municipalities in the affected areas, carried out the necessary actions for improving coastline respecting the environmental and landscape characteristics of each area and to facilitate the use and enjoyment of the coast to all citizens.
