Municipal Emergency Service and Civil Protection of the City of Mazarrón, in collaboration with the Red Cross has provided over the past week, five educational lectures to emergency situations, designed to serve English-speaking residents of Camposol.
The SEM has been supported by a native translator volunteer for 15 hours.
The sessions have a duration of 3 hours each, with an average of 10 attendees per lecture, carried out between 11.00 and 14.00 hours.
Attendees with a mean age of 66 have been active during the talks which have failed to make a practice of cardio-pulmonary resuscitation CPR and discuss their doubts about first aid.
Municipal Emergency Service, its functions, is mandated to educate the public through this kind of informative talks so far only been conducted in Spanish in schools and teaching.
Given the demand for English-speaking citizens of Camposol, the SEM has accepted this new challenge to illustrate how to intervene in emergencies.
The basic premise around which have revolved these talks is "How we act and what not to do in case of accident or sudden illness."
