The Ministry of Agriculture and Water has completed construction of a recreation area and camping in the Sierra de las Herrerías Ifre Plains, in the municipality of Mazarrón, which represents an investment of 30,000 euros.

The director general of Natural Heritage and Biodiversity, Pablo Fernández, said that "it is a very popular area that has been redeveloped by the elements necessary for citizens to enjoy it safely, without damaging the ecosystem."

The works have involved the creation of a regulated camping zone of about 180 square meters, whose space has been marked by a wooden railing and a retaining wall.

Have also built five concrete tables and benches and has renovated a parking area of ​​174 square meters with the grading and improvement of the firm, which has been installed also bicycle racks.

Finally, there have been preventive forestry work in the environment of the playground and installed signage and directional information.
