The meeting was attended by nearly two dozen neighbors who presented their proposals and needs the mayor of Mazarrón, Ginés Campillo, and Councillor for Citizen Participation, David Fernandez.
One of the main areas in which all participants agreed was the need to educate the public to make people aware of the importance of keeping the coastal beaches and streets as clean as possible.
On this issue, Campillo said that the municipality is finalizing an edict that will fine residents and traders who violate the standards of cleanliness.
Once it becomes effective, be fined those who did not gather the droppings of their dogs, leaving the remains of their pruning in public, throw sunflower seed shells on the shore of the beach or take out the garbage on time is not allowed .
He also emphasized the need for education on recycling.
Fernandez bet because they begin to create neighborhood associations to be able to run courses and lectures on the importance of separating waste.
In this sense, the participants asked for help to promote networking among neighbors and as a tool interlocutor with the session.
Another issue that is talked about extensively was the need to improve the cleaning services in the coastal zone.
The Mayor explained that the previous rulers, "have created many gardens but not thinking that then you have to carry out ongoing maintenance. Left to themselves these places that sometimes have become hotbeds of dirt" .
Both he and Fernandez agreed to be gradually solved this problem and as far as possible from the resources owned by the Services division.
Just in terms of services, Campillo said "the effort that the council is doing to keep the area clean Port during these summer months to provide a good image to visitors and tourists."
This effort will be expanded to other areas of the coastal town as Playasol, El Alamillo, Bay or El Castellar.
