Mazarrón City Council hired a dozen people from the municipality to conduct a "draft reassessment of green areas in Mazarrón".
To this end, the City has received a grant of € 224,553.60 of Employment and Training Service (SEF) in the Local Public Employment Program, which will cover the full costs of these workers labor.
The procurement is financed by 80% by the European Social Fund (ESF).
"It is the first year that this grant is obtained, although it is true that the amount received has been an increase of nearly 38% with respect to the grant obtained last year," the mayor of Mazarrón, Ginés Campillo.
These 9 pawns masonry landscaping and 3 different tasks of adaptation and space arrangements of the municipality for nine months.
The project aims to work experience and improve employability of unemployed in landscaping services, through the installation, maintenance and improvement of gardens, plant health control, handling machinery and garden tools and complying with environmental regulations , quality, and prevention of occupational hazards.
The pre-selection of workers was made through the office of the SEF de Mazarrón, following a very clear priority scales: adaptation to the workplace, women victims of domestic violence, people not receiving unemployment benefits and longer registered as job seekers.
Subsequently carried out the assessment of merit (experience and training) and opposition.
"The project is twofold: first aid to the incorporation into the labor market of people who take a long time without work and not receive any financial benefit, thereby reducing the unemployment rate and on the other side managed to improve and condition the municipal green areas without labor cost for the City. "
It is expected that in October first of these twelve people are incorporated into their jobs.
