The full Council approved unanimously to initiate proceedings for granting administrative public parking located on the Avenue of the mulberry trees, which aims to Mazarron can be developed on that site a new shopping area.
It is anticipated that the process, which consists of four phases, "is completed by the end of December this year or early January 2012," as explained by the Town Planning and Infrastructure and Deputy Mayor, Francisco García.
After this first step, a second phase will take place the approval of the project and the foundation governing the procedure for the award of the grant of exclusive use of the public area.
Thirdly approve the contract notice and tender opening so that, finally, perform the final award of public space in a fourth and final phase.
As explained by the Mayor of Mazarron, Ginés Campillo, "this whole procedure is aimed at achieving a future commercial development in this area to generate new jobs and help the revitalization and development of the local economy."
All political groups agreed on the importance of bringing forward this project for its outstanding economic significance.
