The Mazarron Lorenzo Mendez Cifuentes will represent Spain in the championship game of petanque under 23 this weekend will be held in the Danish city of Roskilde.
Mendez will join the rest of the Spanish team in this category who got his ranking after beating at an earlier stage in Finland, Czech Republic and Turkey.
The team is composed by the same athlete Oscar Mazarron and players Alberola, Pedro Garcia and Jose Luis Guasch.
This important participation adds to the great achievements made so far by Lorenzo Mendez and those who fit out the two silver medals at the world junior championships held in Japan and another silver medal in the Europe that took place in the German city of Dusseldorf.
Lorenzo Mendez has also been champion of Spain and Murcia on several occasions and is considered one of the best Spanish athletes in this sport.
Mazarron Town Council, and by extension the entire municipality, Mazarron want the player all the luck in the world for him and his comrades during the end of this sporting event.
