The full City yesterday approved unanimously to approve the regulations initially governed and regulated by the Councils of Citizen Participation.
The regulation is "a sign of commitment Mazarron Town Hall to promote the democratic participation of citizens in local public affairs in an orderly and effective" as explained by the Councillor for Citizen Participation and the Environment, David Fernandez.
As recorded by the rules, and once it is finally approved, the full City Council created the City Commission of Citizen Participation using the same criteria and percentages of other local information commissions.
The Commission shall meet at least once every two months and at this meeting may be present associations or citizen groups who have made some kind of proposal.
The organs of participation in the Regulation is the Local Council of Citizen Participation and Neighborhood Councils and Sector.
They present a proposal to be discussed by all those participants who wish to participate in the debate.
The vote on the proposal made by the legally constituted associations or groups, a minimum of 3, and must be validated with absolute majority.
Once approved, shall be treated as motion for debate in Parliament Hall.
The Regulations also provide for a child board with characteristics similar to those above, but without capacity to make proposals to the House.
What the Council does provide Child to be held in the Plenary Hall of the Town Hall, is to request the attendance of any of the aldermen of the corporation.
This council is composed of students of 1 and 2 of ESO.
The regulation was originally adopted and are now subject to a public exhibition period of 30 days, once it is published in the Official Gazette of the Region of Murcia (BORM).
During this time, associations and individuals may submit any text they deem appropriate.
Once this process, Regulation House to return to the resolution of claims and final approval.
All parties agreed on the positive and enriching this regulation will mean for the social and political life of the municipality.
According to the Mayor of Mazarron, Ginés Campillo, "this initiative is a result of the policy at street level we carried out since the new government team. We want the citizens to participate in day to day issues and concerns regarding our town and for that we created this tool. "
The mayor of Citizen Participation, David Fernandez, stressed that "with this Regulation and is not limited to the public to participate in politics every four years, but are giving citizens an ongoing role."
The regulation also sets out the rights of citizens in regard to information, communication and implementation of procedures between administration and citizens.
