The Citizen Participation Council dedicated to Trade which was held on Monday highlighted the need for the merchants of the town join forces to improve their business performance.
At this point the Mayor of Mazarron agreed, Ginés Campillo, the councilman of Commerce and Consumer Affairs, Isidro Coy, and the mayor of Citizen Participation, David Fernandez, who served more than two dozen traders gathered at this meeting.
The merchants of the town requested that in the coming weeks, when doing holiday shopping, it will motivate consumers to make purchases in Mazarron.
Coy pledged to defend trade Mazarron through the media and called for unity of traders in order to make proposals that can be a boost for the local economy.
In this sense, the Mayor of Mazarron opted to create a partnership in which all traders are present and which will examine the establishment of guidelines to encourage local consumption.
Campillo Ginés further explained that the City is preparing a special program to celebrate the 440 anniversary of the municipality of Villa Privilege "with which to attract people and to be seized all traders."
Another bid to promote trade is launching a bus service that links the districts with other population centers so that citizens can see provided the opportunity to make their purchases.
It is intended that the center of town and the coast can easily reach not only the residents of rural areas, but also foreign citizens urbanization of the northern municipality.
