The Civil Guard of Murcia has developed an operation called "CAST" in order to clarify the double homicide of Mazarron, which has led to the arrest two people.
The various activities carried out in the framework of this operation have allowed seize firearms and ammunition, a bulletproof vest, cash, drugs and supplies, also recovered a van that had been stolen.
The Civil Guard initiated an investigation on the night of Nov. 13, having knowledge of the commission of two murders, one attempted initially in the town of Mazarron.
It quickly triggered a large police presence consisting of a large number of agents, with the invaluable assistance of the local police in Mazarron, with the aim to collect all possible information about these serious crimes.
The first investigation led to the Civil Guard to know how an individual who was walking on a street of the town, the cross with another person, without a word and without there being any link between them brandished a handgun and fired, resulting died.
Then, in an area near this individual was crossed with a second person and just as fired several shots, causing serious injuries, which days later caused his death.

With the research conducted so far was found that the detainee had come to Mazarrón the day before the murder accompanied by another person, a woman, both circulating with a van which was then found to have been stolen.
After the fact, the woman fled and moved to his hometown, Barcelona and staying with friends, being detained on the afternoon of Sunday 20th of November.
As a result of the investigations it was found that this woman was with the alleged perpetrator for over 4 months and divided his time between Barcelona and Murcia and both always identified with false documents and residing in the town of Aguilas in a ongoing for about two months.
Once gathered all the evidence required entry and search was conducted at the home they both live in the town of Aguilas with permission to intervene in the above address different effects and computer equipment for study
These two people had already started collecting information on various bank branches in the town of Cartagena in order to dock, it is likely that the large amount of cash carried originated from similar crimes.
The most likely hypothesis is that the alleged perpetrator, was obsessed with the idea that the police went to arrest him for being immersed in other cases in the area of ​​Barcelona and also was wanted for failing readmitted to prison following a weekend leave.
