The People's University was the venue Mazarrón for the launch of "Mazarron mining town" by Antonio Rico and whose preliminary study was conducted by Juan Francisco Belmar.

The publication presents an important collection of mining-themed photos, mostly after the Civil War, which represent a remarkable document on the life and work in the mines of Mazarrón as never before seen.

The book, apart from taking photos of the men, women and children working in mines, shows snapshots of the mining preserves both ancient and current, so you can see the changes over time and the looting has occurred in them.

For the Mayor of Mazarron, Ginés Campillo, "with this book, we met we had a debt with Mazarrón miners" who had not yet been the protagonists of any publication.

The professor of the Polytechnic University of Cartagena, Jose Ignacio Manteca, said "the high value sociological, human and property that the book contains."
