The Local Government Board approved at its meeting on December 29 refer to the Autonomous Region of Murcia a favorable report on the proposed construction of a composting plant in Mazarron.
This project is promoted by the company Recycled Mazarron SL and foresees the creation of a composting plant in the plot 80 of polygon 47, located on Lewis Road.
The objective of this plant is composted organic waste to obtain a high quality final product and comply with Community law.
In this sense, the plant will need to recover waste organics such as yard trimmings and vegetable waste and turning them into compost tomato plants, thus avoiding having to be buried with the result that this process causes pollution.
In addition, the Urban Area reported favorably to the Autonomous Region on the authorization for the construction of a residence of the Third Age in the place of The Quarries.
The nursing home will be located on a plot near the center of Mazarrón have access from the highway N-332 between Mazarron and Aguilas, and easy to reach the AP-7 motorway and Totana-Mazarron.
The residence expects to have 40 rooms and 80 beds which will help to decongest existing facilities in the city, reducing the doctor-patient ratio.
