The Red Cross has donated Mazarrón a number of toys to the Center for Child Development and Early Intervention (CDIAT) under the Town Council of Mazarron thanks to the efforts undertaken by the entity's president, Carmen Navarro.
Navarro, who knows the operation of the Centre and the importance of these objects for the development of children who attend it, stressed that "it is important to have a wide and varied collection of objects and toys that facilitate individual play socializing and leisure activities among children. "
Councillor for Social Policy, Equality and Health, Maria Martinez, explained that "to have these toys is important for both children and professionals, and the latter found in toys, games and a key tool in therapeutic intervention because the child motivation and enjoyment acquire a relevant role in these sessions. "
Keep in mind that the population attending the Early Childhood Center includes children aged 0 to 6 years.
In CDIAT, games and toys are essential elements for carrying out intervention programs with children with developmental disorders or risk factors.
The Department of Social Policy and Equality wanted to thank the selfless efforts from Red Cross is continuously made, the latest example of this donation of these toys.
