Last weekend about 40 people, including children and adults participated in the reforestation day organized by the hiking club "Friends of Nature" in Mazarron.
This initiative, which included the assistance of the City of Mazarron through its Department of Environment, developed in the area of ​​the Holy Cabezo on the windlass.
Participants planted over 150 plants donated by nurseries in the municipality "Master", "The Fuencisla" and "Gardenia."
These included a large number of native plants such as thyme, rosemary and palmettos and pines and other trees.
During this week, participants have been coming to these two areas to irrigate and control plants during the first days of life.
And, as expressed by the organizers, "after this time we want that reforestation does not remain merely an isolated action. So with the help of volunteers, we carry out the necessary care for the plants to continue develop and watching them grow in our green spaces. "
