The school and Primary Education "Infanta Leonor" of Mazarron is working on a Comenius European project called "Be healthy, feel happy."
This project, which will take place this year between this and the next year 2012-2013, is aimed at the promotion and awareness of the entire educational community of the importance of maintaining a healthy diet and healthy lifestyle, promoting the sport and healthy habits.
The project, funded by the European Union, with the participation of eight schools in European countries like Portugal, England, Poland, Italy, Greece, Belgium, and even of French Polynesia as well as the school "Infanta Leonor" on behalf of Spain.
During these two courses are being carried out a series of activities that are aimed at getting change unhealthy habits of our students in particular and the entire educational community in general, acquiring healthy habits.
The use of English as a unifying language of the project, and as a working tool and communication between all participating schools, is another attraction of the initiative.
Among the activities being developed or to be carried out, highlight the "Tuesday, the day of the fruit", the "Train of Life", a cultural week dedicated to healthy eating and health, "Carnival of Fruits", talks by dietitians, sports leagues between students from different courses and fruit and vegetables in the Garden School available to the center.
In turn, these activities are taking place in other centers of the other European partners, and regular visits are made between schools to share experiences and see the results being obtained.
Several teachers at the school "Infanta Leonor" have visited Portugal and Italy.
Coming soon will visit Greece, and in June, the meeting point for students and teachers will be the United Kingdom.
Next academic representation of students and teachers of the "Infanta Leonor" Vistara schools in Poland, French Polynesia and Belgium.
All participants will visit Mazarron centers in June 2013.
