The Mayor of Mazarron, Ginés Campillo, met this morning with the director of the International University of Mar-CMN, Carmen Martinez, to design and organize the course on Food, Culture and Health that the agency conducted in Puerto de Mazarron of 11 July 13.
The meeting also attended by the Councillor for Education, Culture and Tourism, Maria Celeste Soria, and the directors of that year, Maria Dolores and Maria Belen Lopez Garrido.
Recloses Mazarron and home to the University of the Sea (Unimar) in its issue number 29, involving 22 locations and 102 activities are offered from April to September, some in other languages.
Carmen Martinez thanked the Town Council of Mazarron available to host one of their courses and emphasized the interest of Mazarron Mayor to become a national reference in gastronomy related across the most diverse areas.
Ginés Campillo has expressed satisfaction with the good understanding reached between the municipality and the University of the Sea "to implement activities that promote the formation of those who are unemployed or not, want further education, seeking to improve their employability or recycled to the current economic conditions that we live. "
The course on Food, Culture and Health will discuss the importance of the Mediterranean diet within the practice of healthy living and, in turn, is a reflection of a lifestyle that has been forged through the centuries .
As the mayor explained, "this activity heads with those in which we are working in Mazarron become a benchmark of quality in regard to the service sector and tourism."
In this sense, one of the most forward proposals that are being designed is holding a gastronomic to celebrate the 440 anniversary of granting the privilege of Villa.
The implementation of a school of hospitality is one of the projects that the City is working to achieve that "qualification should be noted tourist and differentiate us from other municipalities in the region."
